Exhaustion & Zen

I know this woman...


"She runs around like a crazy person trying to be there and do for everyone on her path so they know they are loved, goes to meetings at schools, chuches, community service organizations she doesn't even care about or even need to be at but goes anyway because she will get brownie points in countless peoples eyes (or maybe even her own) works harder, earns more ,feeds the poor, her family, organizes parties & picnics. Everyone is amazed at how she manages it all and she replys "Oh, it's nothing"



Funny thing is, no one ever knows she was really only half there. Not even her.


"She lights a candle at the end of the day to read the book that tells her to

"dream big, be yourself, be unique, hug yourself, all you have is this moment, be present, smile, enjoy the simple things...breathe."


And she falls asleep because tomorrow is another day and yah! she gets to do it all again!



I know this woman. I once WAS this woman.

Married and single parent, I WAS this woman.

I can tend to BE this woman again and again if I do not choose to be awake in my life.


We live in this crazy society that seems to promote a "blanced life" as two parts

exhaustion and zen.


1.Where does your life fall?

2.Are you splitting your life into 2 parts without balance?  

3. Do you want to feel alignment with your "to-do" list that gives you a peace even in the midst of a busy day?

* Balance comes with understanding your areas of life that are in exhaustion mode

* knowing what you should hold onto

* knowing what can be let go of.


Your goal should always be to pace your day in such a way that you are fitting breathing space in between the busy moments because  Life does NOT begin at the end of the day.  It's happening in those moments where one is busy "doing" instead of "being"


Your mind, heart and soul are connected. They are what makes you whole.


If you want to feel fully present during the activities that make up your days and for the people in your life instead of being "just happy I remembered to show up" Fall is the perfect time to begin prioritizing by creating a list of what your facing for the season and recognizing your mind, heart and soul are connected to how you approach every single thing or person in your day.


It's not about having a perfect life...it's about having a purposeful life. Being aware of how we are handling our moments is rich along the bumpy road of change.
